Kim has signed a new record deal, and has a new album coming out in 2012. She has yet to announce her new label-home, but we are all anxious to hear where she’ll be next year. I’m hoping she’s let the Minaj beef go once + for all. Especially after Nicki released her lack=luster “Stupid Hoe” track, this is the perfect opportunity for Kim to be the bigger person and ignore it. I wish Kim the best of luck. She still has a lot to show us, I’m sure. BRING ON THE NEW YEAR!

Exclusive + elegant are the best ways to describe Rebecca Minkoff x CASIO’s release event in L.E.S last week. We all came to celebrate the chic designer’s new collaborative watch. We were treated to delicious cocktails and champagne, served in tea-cups! How clutch! The venue used to be a hot-spot during the prohibition days. So drinking in tea-cups and beers in paperbags are still a standard tradition. COOL, no? Check out the fab, the fun, and the guests below :

During last fashion week, I got a lot of press from various outlets for my original (and sometimes eye-raising) style. On this particular day, I was going to view some shows at Lincoln Center, and I was stopped by a photographer who shoots for ESSENCE MAGAZINE. It slipped my mind until recently, when I put my name in a search and my feature popped up. I am wearing a vintage African-print top, black camisole,  black + leather embellished leggings (Zara), a pair of Jeffrey Campbell wedge/buckle booties, a vintage MCM bag, vintage accessories and some futuristic shades! They took some amazing shots– I put some screenshots in here for y’all to browse. Check it out and stay tuned for more press on me as it comes!

Pretty cool, and VERY humbling!

Last week I went tot he luxurious MILLESIME hotel in NYC to attend the exclusive SHULY WIGS event sponsored by HYPNOTIQ HARMONIE. The beautiful and innovative owner of the brand– Shuly (pictured in the center) was on-hand for photos and questions– surrounded by a beautiful flock of hair models. Patrons were gifted with fabulous gift-bags while we enjoyed delicious + exotic HYPNOTIQ HARMONIE cocktails, and delicious finger-food desserts. A makeup artist was on-hand doing make-overs, and we got to try on the wigs. I had an AMAZING time! The hair is made from 100% human hair of highest quality. They get their hair from various parts of South America + Asia. The hair pieces are gorgeous, and so realistic it’s impossible to tell you’re wearing a wig! BIG-TIME wig-lovers like Wendy Williams has worn Shuly’s pieces on her show. Ranging from the mid-hundreds to thousands of dollars, these wigs are gorgeously crafted and just beautiful. Amber is a gazelle in this exclusive NYC shoot she revealed via her twitter a few nights ago. NECOLE BITCHIE had the link. In the shoot AMber calls her her African roots with an ecclectic head-wrap and Gaultier-inspired cone bra. My favorite moment is the animal-print blouse, no pants and the boots.
