The uber-popular MJ Alumni series of tee’s and tanks by Brian Wood was just about the most appropriate thing I could think of wearing on the 1 year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s passing. Released last July [and re-released last Fall], this design became popular among MJ fans and B. Wood fans alike. The tee has images of Michael throughout various eras of his stardom– they even include a graphic of Bubbles and MJ’s infamous jeweled glove….

The accessory I wore pretty much spoke for itself– a memorial-style pin of MJ in his signature pose. We pay hommage….

The look was modern with wedges and a zippered-leggings, but still had a vintage flair with the suede fringed vest I wore. Fringes are a big trend right now– though I’ve been a fan of the fringe. My footwear was also on-trend:

These lace-up fringe wedges are stylish yet comfortable. They matched the outfit, and are ideal for walking (which I did a lot of that day), so it was a no-brainer! Unfortunately, these are sold out everywhere.

My favorite accessory has got to be my lion-ring. The white and black rhinestone detail make the ring really “POP”. Plus, MJ was known to be a huge fan of wild cats! Since th ring makes a bold statement, try not to over-accessorize after all, lions don’t like to share the limelight!

You are probably all wondering where you can get your very own MJ Alumni shirt. Never fear, rumor has it that Brian plans to do another commemorative release this summer, so stay tuned and in the meantime visit BRIAN WOOD ONLINE.
And remember kids: BE INSPIRED and BE INSPIRING… Like the KING! (RIP MJ)
