So… it’s been a little over a month since this oil spill disaster in the gulf, and it doesn’t seem like much has been done by the government. Is this another Katrina? Let’s not forget that hundreds and thousands of wildlife animals have suffered and died because of this neglect and greed….

Years ago, Al Gore and his lobbyists were damn-near laughed out of the White House for their fears of global warming, fossil-fuel-dependency, and America’s tendency to be wasteful. No one listened. Now that we have this catastrophe on our hands, Obama is ordering that we go and drill at formerly restricted drill-sites. But is this really the answer?

What is it going to take for us as a nation to realize that our dependency on oil is the root of all evil? Not only is it negatively-effecting our relations with other regions of the world, but it’s also causing major damage to our earth– which is MOST important of all. I mean, the spill can be seen from space… FROM SPACE!!!! if this is not the wake-up call. What will be? I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m disappointed. Disappointed and scared for our future if we continue to blindly head down such a destructive path….
