Yesterday, I attended my first tent-show of the season at NY Fashion week: The RED DRESS COLLECTION. The collection is a combination of several high-fashion designers including: Zac Posen, Betsey Johnson, Michael Kors and many others. Each dress is red– symbolizing heart-disease awareness. Heart disease is the #1 killer of American men and women. All proceeds from the apparrel go out to this cause. The all-celebrity cast of models included favorites like: ESTELLE, HEIDI KLUM, KIM KARDASHIAN, RAVEN SIMONE, KIMORA LEE SIMMONS and more!

This was the highlight of the show. Raven had so much attitude and pizazz, I was loving it! At the end of the runway, she almost fell– but caught herself, kicked off her heel, kicked off the other and did a diva-snap off the stage. THE CROWD WENT WILD!!!!

I was in a press pitt with about 150 photographers, and boy was it intimidating! I was barely able to get a good shot/angle, because not only was it packed, but people kept screaming “HEY YOU’RE IN MY SHOT” everytime I tried to position myself correctly. I am learning more and more about how to take great photos in stressful situations, and I think that will help my craft in the end… And I did learn a valuable lesson: COME TO THE TENTS EARLY!!
