Patrick Swayze lost his battle with pancreatic cancer yesterday, reports say. he was only 57 years old. We are all deeply saddened by yet another untimely death this summer. It’s hard to imagine a sadder time then now. Pancreatic cancer might just be the most severe of all with only a 9% survival rate. Though Swayze was ill, he showed his hard-working mentality by continuing to work (on cable show “The Beast”)– even towards his final days.

He has been in over 30 movies (including the iconic ‘Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost”). He was a friend of the hip-hop community, as many rappers used his namesake in countless rhymes. He was a good man, and a great actor. He will be sorely missed….
