Tyler Perry and Oprah’s latest cinematic effort, “Precious” as major oscar-buzz generating for the film, and in particular Mariah Carey’s role. She takes on the role of a social worker, trying to help a troubled, pregnant teenage girl. The film is a dark look into a family riddled with incest, abuse and ignorance. I won’t give the whole plot away, but it is DEFINITELY scandalous, angering, though-provoking and tragic. My good friend Pervis, tild me about this film weeks ago, and how Mariah literally transformed into her character (a supporting role of the main character). I think that’s great news. Anything, to redeem her from the “Glitter” tragedy. SMH. This movie also stars paula Patton, Lenny Kravtiz and Mo’ Nique. Rave reviews were had at Sundance. Check out the trailer below:
