Is life imitating art, or is art imitating life? I was browsing GLOBAL GRIND today, when I stumbled upon a disturbing report about one of my fave-rappers Jadakiss (real name Jason Phillips). According to this report, police raided the rapper’s Yonkers apartment and found 6 grams of heroin, 6.5 lbs of marijuana and $40,000. Jada was not home at the time, but chances are he will get indicted for this. SMH. I looooooove me some Jada. He is so consistent, witty, talented. With a voice that was just MADE to be recorded. When I hear things like this about my young brothers out here grinding, it saddens me. Jada has an outlet and a platform to be legitimate and get his money the legal way. Sure, there’s not so much money in record-making. But between touring, endorsements and other ventures– you can get PAID. We’ve seen it before. Why continue to sell drugs to the people in your community, destroying your neighborhood. SMARTEN UP JADA!
