Oh boy, here we go again. Since as early as I could remember, Black Americans have had this debate over who was “better” dark, or light. It’s silly, stupid, baseless and out-dated. The simple fact is– it’s not your complexion, but rather your FEATURES that makes you beautiful. Skin tone alone cannot guarantee that you will look gorgeous– let’s be real. There is beauty and ugliness in ALL shades. I am so sick of it. I have had men taht I’ve dated in the past tell me things like, “You are the only dark-skinned woman I would date. You are prettier than the average”. That sickens me, and most likely the fastest way to get rid of me. I hate ignorance. Below is a video clip of a documentary on the very topic.
