I never really thought about this until his passing, but Michael was widely known as being the king of pop, and he reigned in his throne for decades. His successes in pop were so amazing, that we sometimes forgot about his status as a fashion icon. Of course we know the famous red leather “thriller” jacket, and the shiny gloves and socks, but MJ was MUCH more than that fashion-wise. And as he became more obscure-looking, so did his fashion sense, but ironically it was his attire that allowed me continue to look at him in admiration and not fear… His style was bold, out-of-this-world,  impossible, and luxurious… And I loved it!
