This is an everybody blog. I invite everyone of all races, ages, political views, and music tastes to enjoy my space, and if there is something you want to see more of just let me know. I mean, it's not Burger King, you can't "have it your way". But I promise you'll love me, or your $$ back!

AMAZING: ALEXANDER MCQUEEN SPRING 2010 -2011.

Posted by: Cocoa Bella In: News

Finally! The world has been blessed with McQueen’s latest line: MAJESTIC. It’s reminiscent of a ‘poetic medieval beauty’. It’s quite breath-taking, I’m not sure what else to say. The showcase was held in a private Paris salon. No photographers were allowed. Thank you to CYANA TRENDLAND for the images. CHECK IT OUT:

There have been heated debates going on about this issue for some time, but this might satisfy the quips from the masses– some sources are claiming that Kelis is trying to steal Lady Gaga’s style. Well, faithful Kelis fans were not going to take the news sitting down. HUGE Kelis fan, and friend BAMBUS3000 posted this image on his twit-pic page yesterday. There is no denying the facts in this image, so does this mean the debate is over? I hope so. I like both of these artists, I appreciate that they don’t take their audience for fools that want the same old recycled gimmicks. But I must hand it to Kelis, she did many of the things other artists do years later– first. And there’s no denying that. I think we should all just quit the debate and give Kelis her props and move on… Shall we?

Haute-Shots: Lindsay Lohan at Givenchy.

Posted by: Cocoa Bella In: News

Lindsay Lohan was snapped at Givenchy’s show yesterday in Paris with a new raven-hued ‘do. I like the dark locks on her, but I’m still a die-hard fan of her natural red, and I wish she’d go back!

Picture of the Day: Obsessive Lil’ Wayne Fan.

Posted by: Cocoa Bella In: News

As Lil’ Wayne made his way to Riker’s Island Penitentiary on Monday afternoon– he had this to look forward to: the beginning of a tribute-tatt on a crazed fan. I still never understand why people do this, but maybe I’m the only one… [SHRUG]

March 9th 2010: The 13th year of B.I.G’s Demise.

Posted by: Cocoa Bella In: News

If  Christopher “Notorious B.I.G” Wallace was alive today, I wonder what he would say. I wonder how he would feel about the current state of hip-hop, and the current state of our world. I wonder if he would have stopped Kim from going down that road with all the surgeries. I wonder if Diddy would have done to him what he did to all his other artists. I wonder if Jay-Z would be the new KING of NY. I wonder all these things, because he’s not here to tell me himself….

Biggie was much more than an emcee. Biggie represented a way out for a a lot of people. Biggie was the voice and the reality of a lot of people’s struggles. He looked out for his neighborhood, his borough, his label-mates and his family. Big was a master of words that the world has never ever seen since, and most likely never will. Big entertained me but made me think as well– all without being preachy, over-bearing, esoteric or overly-complex. He was a complex thinker, but made his words tangible, marketable, holistic. That’s the sign of true genius. He mastered the art of hip hop, and made us proud to love it…

There will never be another like you, BIG. No matter what anyone says, or anyone thinks– there is no way your finesse can be duplicated, cloned or reborn. We definitely lost a big part of us when you died. We’ll never forget you…..
